Woman artist with horse painting at an art gallery.

the artist

Emma Furtado was born and raised in Campbell, CA.  She studied English and graduated with a Bachelor of Art from San Jose State University. She took ceramics classes in high school and college and taught herself how to paint a few years out of college while working in tech.

Emma began painting with oils in 2016. A few years later she created a few pencil drawings and soon after, in 2020 she began painting with acrylics. Before long, she became prolific and canvases took over her place. Acrylics became her preferred medium.
